COMPARISON OF THE SEED DISTANCE OF FOUR VARIETIES OF SOYBEAN CULTURE IN THE DISTRICT OF CUAMBA / MOZAMBIQUE

Guivi Jefu Cherene, Élberis Pereira Botrel, Antônio Carlos dos Santos

Resumo

This article aims to disseminate the study of the comparison of distance between sowing of soybean crops, based on four soybean varieties, in the agroecological conditions of the Cuamba district. It was concluded that in the shortest sowing distances, the crop yield was higher, the soybean grain was quantitatively diminished, and the plants had an extreme and longer growth; in the greater sowing distances, the crop yield was reduced, the soybeans were fortified, with greater volume, and the plants had massive growth, with an average height. It was recommended that for the production of soybeans for consumption purposes, the sowing distance should be reduced to maximize yield; whereas, when the destination of the production is for the future propagation of the crop, it should be increased sowing distance, to obtain the best quality seed, in terms of greater fortification of the crop grain.
